Baseball Recap: Southern Comes Up Short on the Road Against Fort Hill

Southern had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Fort Hill Sentinels by a score of 4-3. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Brayden Upole was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Cade Leader was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Southern has already played their next contest, a 15-0 victory against Moorefield on the 22nd. As for Fort Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-3 win against Mountain Ridge on the 22nd.
