E.L. Haynes were the 62-61 winner over the Washington Latin Public Charter School Lions when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. E.L. Haynes fell 57-45 to Washington Latin Public Charter School on Saturday. E.L. Haynes has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
E.L. Haynes' loss came despite strong showings from Jency Beatriz and Juan Creamer. Beatriz scored 15 points, while Creamer scored 14 points. Creamer scored a full 31.1% of E.L. Haynes' points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Victor Bruce Jr, who scored 6 points.
E.L. Haynes' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Washington Latin Public Charter School, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. E.L. Haynes will take on School Without Walls at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Washington Latin Public Charter School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Paul Public Charter International at 6:30 p.m. on December 11th.
