Football Recap: Demya Adams and Aaliyah Graham Pace Hawthorne Defense

Thursday just wasn't the day for Hawthorne's offense. They took a 12-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Santa Fe Raiders on Thursday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hawthorne didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Demya Adams and Aaliyah Graham.

Hawthorne's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Santa Fe, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Hawthorne will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Newberry at 6:00 p.m. on April 1st. Santa Fe will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Suwannee at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
