Basketball Game Preview: North Gwinnett Bulldogs vs. Peachtree Ridge Lions

Having just played yesterday, the North Gwinnett Bulldogs will get right back to it and host the Peachtree Ridge Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

North Gwinnett is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Norcross just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by the Blue Devils and fell 60-30. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 48th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Peachtree Ridge faced off against Duluth last Friday. Peachtree Ridge lost to Duluth at home by a 42-26 margin. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

North Gwinnett's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8. As for Peachtree Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Everything came up roses for North Gwinnett against Peachtree Ridge in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 57-27 win. Will North Gwinnett repeat their success, or does Peachtree Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
