Basketball Game Preview: Queen's Grant Stallions vs. Burlington Christian Academy Royals

The Queen's Grant Stallions will square off against the Burlington Christian Academy Royals at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Queen's Grant knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Burlington Christian Academy likes a good challenge.

Queen's Grant is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Victory Christian Center just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to the Kings.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ian Howard, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Smith, who posted six points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Queen's Grant was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Victory Christian Center only racked up eight assists.

Meanwhile, Burlington Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They strolled past the Stallions with points to spare, taking the game 65-51.

Burlington Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Queen's Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
