Volleyball Game Preview: Chelsea Academy Knights vs. Fredericksburg Christian Eagles

The Chelsea Academy Knights will face off against the Fredericksburg Christian Eagles at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Chelsea Academy is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering The Covenant School just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0.

While Chelsea Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Fredericksburg Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Collegiate on Thursday and fell 3-2.

Fredericksburg Christian actually scored more points across those five sets (111-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 29-27, 15-25, 13-25, 15-13.

Chelsea Academy will have to contain Chloe Borisuk as she made an impact in Fredericksburg Christian's last game. She had 29 assists and 12 digs. Borisuk has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 14 times she's played.

Chelsea Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Fredericksburg Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 20-2.
