Softball Recap: Butler Golden Tornado vs. Norwin Knights
Butler is still winless after their game against Norwin on Thursday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Tornado of the 10-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
Kyra Olivares spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, Butler saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alaina Dailey, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.
Butler's record is now 0-5-1. As for Norwin, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
