Baseball Game Preview: Northwood Academy Chargers vs. First Baptist School Hurricanes

For the second straight game, Northwood Academy will face off against First Baptist School. Northwood Academy will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against First Baptist School at 6:00 p.m.

Monday just wasn't the day for Northwood Academy's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of First Baptist School on Monday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Chargers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Northwood Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Oswald, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles. Those two doubles gave Oswald a new career-high.

First Baptist School has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. The loss snapped Northwood Academy's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-8 record.
