Basketball Recap: June Buchanan Comes Up Short

June Buchanan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Jenkins Cavaliers 86-38. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 110th).

June Buchanan's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Jenkins, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. June Buchanan will challenge Cordia at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. June Buchanan is facing Cordia at the right time seeing as Cordia is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Jenkins, they will face off against Appalachian Christian HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
