Wes-Del is 9-1 against Southern Wells since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Wes-Del will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Wes-Del barely beat Union City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors never let the Indians get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won three contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Bailee West was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.

In other batting news, Kenzie Anderson was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Marley Bertram was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Wes-Del kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four game, Southern Wells brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They walked away with a 12-8 win over Fort Wayne Wayne on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Generals: they've now won six in a row.
Kaylea Coffel made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Coffel was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Southern Wells let Kim McCune and Remi Holmes run wild. McCune went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Holmes went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Bristal Chapman, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Wes-Del's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Southern Wells, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
Southern Wells' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Wes-Del has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. It's a different story for Southern Wells, though, as they've been averaging 13.1 hits. Given Wes-Del's sizable advantage in that area, the Raiders will need to find a way to close that gap.
