Baseball Recap: Bishop Timon-St. Jude Takes a Loss

Bishop Timon-St. Jude lost against St. Francis on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers fell 4-1 to the Red Raiders. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brendan Gossling put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Gossling was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for St. Francis, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-12-1.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude has already played their next contest, a 15-4 defeat against Nichols on the 19th. St. Francis has also already played their next game (against Aquinas Institute), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
