Preview: Juanita Ravens vs. Lake Washington Kangaroos
After two games on the road, Juanita is heading back home. They will take on The Lake Washington Kangaroos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Juanita ended up a good deal behind Newport - Bellevue and lost 28-10.
Meanwhile, Lake Washington was the victim of a tough 42-21 defeat at the hands of Bellevue on Thursday. Lake Washington was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Despite the defeat, Lake Washington had strong showings from Noah Williams, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns, and Ronin Holmes, who rushed for 86 yards on only eight carries. Holmes was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.
Juanita's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Lake Washington, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Juanita might still be hurting after the 41-17 loss they got from Lake Washington in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Juanita, Nathan Owens (who rushed for 143 yards and four touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
