Volleyball Recap: West Monroe Comes Up Short

West Monroe and Byrd squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but West Monroe had to settle for second. They came up short against the Yellow Jackets, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Rebels couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

West Monroe moved to 27-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Byrd, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 24 of their last 28 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-7 record this season.

While West Monroe had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
