Recap: Whitmire Wolverines vs. Thornwell Saints
The Whitmire Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Thornwell 41-12 on the road. That 29 points margin sets a new team best for Whitmire this season.
Whitmire's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Raylin Vicars, who scored nine points along with seven steals. Vicars hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Trystan Samples, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and six blocks.
The win makes it two in a row for Whitmire and bumps their season record up to 2-13. As for Thornwell, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Whitmire and Calhoun Falls Charter will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Calhoun Falls Charter is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for Thornwell, Thornwell and Ware Shoals will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Ware Shoals is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
