Softball Recap: Bartlett Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lakeland Preparatory on Monday, Bartlett came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Collierville Dragons on Tuesday, falling 15-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on April 2nd.

Brenlee Suarez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Bartlett has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Collierville, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bartlett will challenge Millington Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Collierville, they will face off against Memphis Central at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Dragons 2.5, the Warriors 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
