Soccer Game Preview: Stranahan vs. Pompano Beach

Stranahan hasn't had much luck against Pompano Beach recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Mighty Dragons will head out to take on the Golden Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m.

Stranahan is headed into their contest with Pompano Beach looking for a result a bit more satisfying than what they got in their season opener against Piper on Tuesday. The Mighty Dragons and the Bengals finished up their match with a 2-2 draw. The outcome might've been different if Jefferson Monterrosa hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Mairon Sanchez and Christopher Matul scored both of Stranahan's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Pompano Beach's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They won by a goal and slipped past Coral Springs 2-1. That's two games straight that Pompano Beach have won by just one goal.
