Volleyball Recap: Cripple Creek-Victor Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cripple Creek-Victor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Deer Trail Eagles, falling 3-0. The Pioneers were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in September of 2021.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-10, 25-13.

Cripple Creek-Victor's offense was headlined by Lilly Linneweh and Madison Mead, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Savannah Mead and her six assists. Finally, Madison was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Deer Trail found their leader in sophomore Fatuma Hussein, who had 11 digs and seven kills. Hussein has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Cripple Creek-Victor's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Deer Trail, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

Cripple Creek-Victor has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Miami-Yoder on the 14th. As for Deer Trail, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Manzanola on the 10th.
