Forest Park skates past Coppin Academy with ease

The Forest Park Foresters have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season. They took their contest at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 59-7 victory over Coppin Academy. The win was nothing new for Forest Park as they're now sitting on three straight.

Forest Park found their leader in underclassman NaJae Malik-El, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Malik-El hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Aliyah Carroll, who scored 11 points.

Forest Park pushed their record up to 8-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Coppin Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Forest Park will head out on the road to face off against Carver Vo-Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Carver Vo-Tech will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Forest Park is ranked 23rd). As for Coppin Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lewis at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Lewis comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
