Grosse Pointe South gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fraser Ramblers, sneaking past 4-3. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

James Michelotti (James) was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Henry Domzalski, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Fraser's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Grosse Pointe South will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Dakota at 4:30 p.m. As for Fraser, they will head out to challenge Lake Shore at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
