Baseball Recap: Valley Extends Winning Streak to Three

Valley waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the South Iron Panthers. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 6-1 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2021.

Valley's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for South Iron, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6-1.

Valley has already played their next match, a 6-3 victory against Arcadia Valley on the 15th. As for South Iron, they will square off against Eminence at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
