KATE STAMBAUGH commands the offense for Rebels win

The Astoria/VIT Rebels can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 44-23 margin over Bushnell-Prairie City. Astoria/VIT pushed the score to 36-14 by the end of the third, a deficit Bushnell-Prairie City cut but never quite recovered from.

Astoria/VIT's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from KATE STAMBAUGH, who scored 12 points. ABBIE STEVENSON was another key contributor, scoring three points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Astoria/VIT's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-24. As for Bushnell-Prairie City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-26.

Astoria/VIT didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 66-41 loss vs. Brown County on the 8th. Bushnell-Prairie City will head out on the road to square off against Lewistown at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Lewistown's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Bushnell-Prairie City has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
