Recap: Tabiona Tigers vs. Manila Mustangs
The Tabiona Tigers entered their tilt with the Manila Mustangs with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Tabiona enjoyed a cozy 72-56 win over Manila on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Leading Tabiona to victory were Logan Rhoades and Chance Lazenby. Rhoades scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks, while Lazenby scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Lazenby continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Lex Giles was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Tabiona's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Manila, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
Tabiona will head out on the road to face off against Altamont at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Manila, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Wendover at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Wendover is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.
