Ascension Catholic entered their tilt with Albany on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Hornets. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered an 8-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Emma Delatte, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Caroline Diez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Ascension Catholic's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Albany, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-12.
