Caney Creek had won four straight road games dating back to last season and Yeiry Zamudio did her part to make it five on Monday. Caney Creek put the hurt on Kingwood Park with a sharp 60-35 win for which the team can thank Zamudio, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Caney Creek's points.

Caney Creek's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Kingwood Park, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Caney Creek will take on Willis at 5:15 p.m. on December 2. The game will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Kingwood Park, they will challenge Friendswood at 7:15 p.m. on December 2.
