Basketball Recap: Lizzie Keele's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cascade over Community

Cascade was the 55-51 winner over Community when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Cascade Champions lost 43-22 to the Community Vikings/Viqueens on Tuesday. The contest marked the Champions' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Several Champions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lizzie Keele, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaegan Young, who put up seven points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Community to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyssa White, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 13 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mattie Maxey, who went 5-for-11 en route to 13 points and eight boards.

Cascade now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Community, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-16.

Cascade didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-12 win against Mt. Pleasant on the 13th. As for Community, they have also already played their next match, a 56-40 victory against Forrest on the 14th.
