Softball Game Preview: Tecumseh Arrows vs. Northwestern Warriors

The Tecumseh Arrows will venture away from home to face off against the Northwestern Warriors at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Jonathan Alder hit Tecumseh with a five-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Arrows took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pioneers. The Arrows have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Northwestern came up short against Benjamin Logan on Wednesday and fell 7-4.

Olivia Deane was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Julia Shaw, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Northwestern dropped their record down to 9-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Tecumseh, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Tecumseh suffered a grim 11-4 defeat to Northwestern in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Arrows avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
