Baseball Recap: West Shore Christian Academy Starts Season with Win at Home

West Shore Christian Academy took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They skirted past the Mount Calvary Christian Chargers 7-6. For West Shore Christian Academy, this counts as revenge for the 14-3 win Mount Calvary Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Connor Edwards was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Edwards was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Memphis Barron, who scored three runs and stole Five bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 11 times he's played.

West Shore Christian Academy has already played their next match, an 8-7 victory against Lancaster County Christian on the 18th. Mount Calvary Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Shalom Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on March 25th.
