Baseball Recap: South Lamar Takes a Loss

South Lamar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 7-0 to the Fayette County Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-4 two weeks ago.

South Lamar's record is now 4-8. As for Fayette County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Lamar will challenge Sulligent at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fayette County, they will take on Gordo at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
