Baseball Recap: Washington-Liberty Triumphs

After losing to Langley the last time they met, Washington-Liberty decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Generals beat the Saxons on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Generals.

The team relied heavily on Henry Thomson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reid Schwartz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

The victory got Washington-Liberty back to even at 10-10. As for Langley, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-8.

Washington-Liberty will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Saxons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
