Volleyball Recap: Lilleigh Presti and Isabella Lopez Secure Win for Tombstone

There's no place like home for Tombstone, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past the St. Augustine Catholic Wolves 3-0 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Yellow Jackets also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Tombstone not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept St. Augustine Catholic between 15 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-15.

Tombstone was led to victory by Isabella Lopez and Lilleigh Presti. Lopez had 12 digs and two aces, while Presti had seven aces and six assists. Those seven aces gave Presti a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Gilbert, who had nine digs.

Tombstone pushed their record up to 12-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for St. Augustine Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Tombstone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Augustine Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Lourdes Catholic on the 29th.
