Basketball Game Preview: Central Aroostook Panthers vs. Hodgdon Hawks

The Central Aroostook Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Hodgdon Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

On Friday, Central Aroostook humbled Van Buren with a 47-8 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Hodgdon challenged Madawaska on Thursday. Hodgdon claimed a resounding 42-13 win over Madawaska. That 29 point margin sets a new team best for the Hawks this season.

Central Aroostook pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.4 points. As for Hodgdon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Central Aroostook strolled past Hodgdon when the teams last played back in January by a score of 54-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Aroostook since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
