Baseball Recap: Sullivan Takes a Loss

Sullivan lost to St. Teresa back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Redskins fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-3. The Redskins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Landon Elder was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.

Sullivan's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for St. Teresa, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Sullivan will venture away from home to face off against Okaw Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Teresa, they will head out to square off against Mt. Zion at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Braves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
