Volleyball Recap: Valley View Comes Up Short

Valley View managed to slip by Edgewood the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Spartans came up short against the Cougars on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-13, 25-13.

Edgewood found their leader in sophomore Rylee Dawes, who had seven digs and one assist.

This is the second loss in a row for Valley View and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Edgewood, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Valley View wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Franklin on the 21st. As for Edgewood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Fairfield on the 21st.
