Football Game Preview: Fort LeBoeuf Bison vs. Girard Yellowjackets

Fort LeBoeuf has gone a perfect 7-0 against Girard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bison will head out on the road to challenge the Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. Fort LeBoeuf will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

Fort LeBoeuf is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They snuck past Harbor Creek with a 35-29 win on Friday. The Bison haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Skyler Sadowski and Dominic Walters were among the main playmakers for Fort LeBoeuf as the former rushed for 184 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 10.2 yards per carry and the latter rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing yards Walters has posted since back in August of 2024.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fort LeBoeuf was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 327 rushing yards. They are 4-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Meanwhile, Girard unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They were beaten by North East 46-3. The contest marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fort LeBoeuf's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Girard, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Fort LeBoeuf against Girard in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 52-18 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
