Basketball Game Preview: Seneca Fighting Irish vs. Lexington Minutemen

The Seneca Fighting Irish and the Lexington Minutemen will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Seneca comes in on three and Lexington on four.

On Friday, Seneca needed a bit of extra time to put away Coal City. They managed a 65-61 win over the Coalers.

Meanwhile, Lexington got the win against Hall on Friday by a conclusive 81-61. The Minutemen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Seneca's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Lexington, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.
