Football Recap: Forbush Wins Going Away Against Atkins + How To Watch

Forbush won the last time they faced Atkins and things went their way on Friday too. The Falcons put the hurt on the Camels with a sharp 29-7 victory. That 22 point margin sets a new team best for the Falcons this season.

Keanu Escalante was his usual excellent self, rushing for 178 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. Those 178 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Forbush was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 266 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Atkins only rushed for 154.

Despite the loss, Atkins still got an impressive performance from Xavier Moore, who rushed for 83 yards and one score on only six carries. Moore got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 67 yards.

The win made it two in a row for Forbush and bumps their season record up to 3-2. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 7.05 yards per carry in those games compared to only 3.1 in the others. As for Atkins, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Forbush will look to defend their home field on Friday against West Stokes at 7:00 p.m. The Falcons will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Atkins, they will square off against Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Camels' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
