Baseball Recap: Templeton Eagles vs. Pioneer Valley Panthers
Templeton came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-2 to the Pioneer Valley Panthers. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 1-0.
Templeton got a good showing from Aiden Abatti, who tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Abatti gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March.
At the plate, Templeton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Raab, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Templeton's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Pioneer Valley, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14.
Templeton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pioneer Valley, they will challenge Paso Robles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
