Softball Recap: South Charleston Takes a Loss

The South Charleston Black Eagles lost 16-5 to the Eastern Eagles on Monday.

JJ Wagner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Frye, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

South Charleston has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Eastern, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

South Charleston wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-2 victory against Capital on the 29th. As for Eastern, they have also already played their next game, an 18-0 win against Trimble on the 29th.
