Volleyball Game Preview: Watertown Arrows vs. Lincoln Patriots

After both having extra time off, the Watertown Arrows and the Lincoln Patriots will shake off the rust and duke it out at 12:45 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Watertown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on Huron with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Arrows in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Watertown was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 28-26, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Lincoln got the win against Yankton on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Lincoln walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-13.

Watertown's win bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 19-5.

Watertown suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Lincoln when the teams last played back in October. Can the Arrows avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
