Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gig Harbor). They blew past the Mount Tahoma T-Birds 12-1 on Thursday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Gig Harbor's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Mount Tahoma are ranked 226th).

The win made it two in a row for Gig Harbor and bumps their season record up to 7-3-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those two games. As for Mount Tahoma, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-10-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gig Harbor will head out to face off against Central Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mount Tahoma, they will challenge Silas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Silas' last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
