Jena proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 15) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Franklin Parish Patriots 7-5. That's more bragging rights for the Giants, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jena saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Calex Campbell, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI. Another was Carson Willis, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Jena now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Franklin Parish, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Jena wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-1 win against Grant on the 1st. Franklin Parish has also already played their next matchup (against Bunkie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
