Soccer Game Preview: Woodmont vs. Mauldin

Woodmont is 0-10 against Mauldin since May of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. Woodmont has given up an average of 2.7 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Woodmont's offense. They lost 5-0 to Greenwood on Friday. One reason for the loss might be Woodmont's aggressive play style: Tyler Perez-Cubas and Sandro Sanatana were both handed yellow cards.

Meanwhile, Mauldin kept a clean sheet against Greenville on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Red Raiders 1-0. Thony Usuga had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Mauldin.

The win made it two in a row for Mauldin and bumps their season record up to 12-4. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Woodmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
