McIntosh piles up the points against Fruitdale

Recap: McIntosh Demons vs. Fruitdale Pirates

The McIntosh Demons had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 88-17 win over Fruitdale at home. McIntosh has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.

McIntosh's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brittney Reed Jr., who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 17 rebounds. Reed Jr. hasn't dropped below 12 rebounds for 13 straight games. Dristen Sullivan was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with three steals.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Fruitdale struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as McIntosh racked up 14 assists.

McIntosh's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Fruitdale, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-21.

McIntosh will be playing in front of their home fans against Leroy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. McIntosh has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Fruitdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
