Volleyball Recap: Lake Fenton Blue Devils vs. Linden Eagles
Lake Fenton and Linden squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Lake Fenton had to settle for second. They came up short against the Linden Eagles, falling 3-0. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
While Lake Fenton was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-15.
Alexa Murray and Abbigayl Sells certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Murray had six digs and 26 assists, while Sells had 18 digs. Sells is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last nine games she's played.
Lake Fenton's defeat dropped their record down to 17-15. As for Linden, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-9-1.
Lake Fenton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Linden, they will square off against Frankenmuth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
