Pike County hadn't done well against Straughn recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 38-30. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Tigers last Wednesday, they had to take a 43-41 defeat.

Cornelius Griffin Ii was the offensive standout of the game as he posted seven points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Josiah Lightfoot, who scored seven points in addition to five boards and five steals.

Pike County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Straughn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.
