Recap: United Golden Eagles vs. Columbiana Clippers
The United Golden Eagles lost against the Columbiana Clippers last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. United ended up on the wrong side of a tough 55-31 walloping at the hands of the Clippers. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for United in their matchups with the Clippers: they've now lost six in a row.
It was another big night for Maddox Brown, who scored 15 points along with seven assists for Columbiana. Another player making a difference was Devin Daugherty, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
United's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Columbiana, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
United will take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbiana, they will head out on the road to challenge the Bears at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Leetonia has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 9.
