Chopticon has gone a perfect 10-0 against La Plata recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Chopticon Braves will square off against the La Plata Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Chopticon will be strutting in after a win while La Plata will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Friday, Chopticon strolled past Calvert with points to spare, taking the game 33-16.

Chopticon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kirnique Swales led the charge by putting up 11 points.

Meanwhile, La Plata came up short against Thomas Stone on Thursday and fell 54-41. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost six in a row.

Chopticon will have to contain Aniyah Sisco as she made an impact in La Plata's last game. She almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine rebounds. The match was Sisco's ninth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Parker, who posted six points and three steals.

La Plata's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Chopticon, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Everything went Chopticon's way against La Plata when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Chopticon made off with a 51-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chopticon since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
