Giltner extended the longest winning streak in D2 District 5 (8 Man) this week by beating Spalding Academy, 64-25. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Giltner's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jake Findley has thrown for 2072 yards and 30 touchdowns this season, while Kyle Hawthorne has 42 catches for 730 yards. Findley also leads the league in rushing with 287 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Giltner takes on Cedar Valley. Jeff Ashby's team is in first place, while Cedar Valley is in fourth place.
The Knights made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 233 from 400. The improvement came about via a 64-25 victory over Spalding Academy last week.
