Softball Recap: Heritage Generals vs. Jefferson Dragons
Heritage had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Jefferson Dragons onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Friday. The Generals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 contests by six runs or more this season.
Addie Edwards tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bailee Hollis, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Bree Wilson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Heritage pushed their record up to 28-2 with the win, which was their 33rd straight at home dating back to last season. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 21-14.
