Softball Recap: Winchester Comes Up Short

The Winchester Red & Black came up short against the Maynard Tigers on Wednesday, falling 20-6. The Red & Black have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nora Harstad was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Carys Gugliotta, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Winchester's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winchester will take on Concord-Carlisle at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Maynard, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Maynard Tigers challenge Ayer Shirley Panthers at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
